Judith R. Walkowitz is Professor of History at The Johns Hopkins University. She is the author of the prize-winning, Prostitution and Victorian Society: Women, Class and the State, City of Dreadful Delight: Narratives of Sexual Danger in Late-Victorian London, and a co-editor of the anthology Unknown London. She has published many articles on the history of feminism and sexuality and has been active in numerous feminist orgainisations.
